Sophia Tlale

Sophia Tlale works for Trans Caledon Tunnel Authority (TCTA) as an Environmental Manager responsible for Acid Mine Drainage (AMD) Project. The project focuses on pumping of mine water from underground to neutralise before it is released into the nearby streams.

She has 2 MSc degrees (1) for Environmental Science & Technology obtained from the International Institute for Infrastructural, Hydraulic and Environmental Engineering (IHE) DELFT, The Netherlands and (2) for Environmental Engineering from the University of Witwatersrand.

She has more than 15 years working in the water sector involved in public and private sector involved in various projects such as Lesotho Highlands Water Project (LHWP), registered with South African Council for Natural Scientific Professions (Reg.No. 400723/15).
